Apply free, in one sitting
There is no fee, no application platform, no account required and nothing to buy. The form below is the whole thing, and it takes about fifteen minutes if you are honest rather than eloquent.
Applications close on the 20th
Everything in by the 20th is judged in that month's round. Anything after rolls into the next one automatically, so you never miss by a day.
Results are emailed the last day of the month
A person reads every application. Everybody who applied gets an email with the outcome on the last day of the round, win or lose, to the address on the form.
Money moves within a week
Chapter awards are confirmed with your advisor and paid to the chapter. Individual awards go to the competitor. We follow up in sixty days to see what it bought.
Free to apply
The application
No fee, no account, no essay prompt about your greatest challenge. Answer plainly. Results for every round are sent out by email on the last day of that month, whether or not you win.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. Applying is free and it always will be. You do not need a GlassUp account, a subscription or a payment method, and nothing on this page is a discount on a product.
Can I apply more than once?
Yes. Every month is a fresh round with a fresh pot. If you are not picked in October you can submit the same answers in November, and plenty of applications get stronger the second time.
Can my chapter and I both apply?
Yes, and they are judged separately. A chapter award pays for the group; an individual award pays for one competitor's season.
Who is eligible?
Any DECA member in good standing at a chartered high school or collegiate chapter in any chartered association. Chapter applications must be submitted by an officer and confirmed by the advisor.
How do I find out if I won?
By email. Results for every round go out over email on the last day of that month, to the address you put on the form, whether or not you were selected. Check your spam folder that week.
What are you actually looking for?
A specific thing that is not happening because of money, and a believable line-item plan for fixing it. We fund the competitor who cannot afford the flight over the essay about perseverance.
GlassUp is an independent DECA study tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by DECA Inc. Awards are funded by GlassUp. Recipients are selected by a human reader; decisions are final and are emailed to every applicant.
