Required outline
This outline must be followed and every section must be titled on your slides. Additional subsections are allowed. The body starts at the title slide.
- I.Executive Summary
One-page description of the campaign — which should be no more than 45 days in length.
- II.Description of the Event, Product or Service
What the campaign promotes.
- III.Campaign Objectives
What the campaign is trying to achieve.
- IV.Campaign Target Market
Who the campaign is aimed at.
- V.Campaign Activities and Schedule
The activities and timeline; include creative samples of the marketing pieces.
- VI.Budget
Detailed projections of actual cost.
- VII.Key Metrics
The key performance indicators used to measure the campaign's success.
- VIII.Bibliography
Required. List every source of information used in the entry. Each section, including this one, must be titled.
- IX.Appendixoptional
Optional. Exhibits that support the entry but are not important enough for the body (sample surveys, letters, background data). If included, its pages are numbered too.
Penalty Point Checklist
Judges deduct these points before scoring. The scanner checks all of them automatically. Rules shown are the ICDC defaults — your district or association may vary.
Must be signed by all participants and the chapter advisor and turned in with the pitch deck. Only physical or digital signatures count — typed names in a font are not accepted.
The pitch deck is limited to 20 slides (the title slide counts).
All slides are numbered in sequence starting with the title slide and ending with the final appendix slide.
The deck follows the outline in the Pitch Deck Guidelines for the event. Additional subsections are permitted.
Must be typed and use a 16:9 aspect ratio. Handwritten corrections, notes, charts and graphs are penalized.
